The excitement grows

Some exciting things have been happening!
Malaria awareness seems to be growing and growing which is great! That is the first step in making change. Moira was in class on Monday at Public Health and there were several clips of lectures by Jeff Sachs speaking about malaria and the simple steps one can take to prevent and control the spread of malaria. This class is a huge class and now everyone is primed for Moira to make an announcement about the party next week!
We received our media kit from Malaria No More yesterday! It is full of great stuff, and we appreciate the help we have received from this organization.
Last night we spread the word about the party at The Columbia Club where we went to hear Joseph Stigletz speak. It was sponsored by the Alumni Association and CUPID. There was a lot of great response!
I bought a CD (to benefit Lupus research) from one of the party's musical entertainers today and we talked about how excited they are to spin next week. We look forward to hearing DJ Know1 and DJ President Ike live and in person!
Today we saw in the law school a Poker night planned to benefit Millennium Promise and were excited to see other Columbia students taking action to decrease the number of deaths to malaria.

So, the party is one week away and we have a lot of great raffle prizes so far! It is sure to be a great night!
